I shot this series of photographs in 2014 when I lived alone in Amoy (a.k.a. Xiamen), a peaceful and beautiful city in the southeast of China. I always went to the seaside searching for inspiration and peace, and found that people on the beach are always happy, relaxed and with family or friends, which made me want to record the wonderful moments.

I traveled to Taiwan with my family on April 29th, 2015. Standing beside the ocean, I felt the magic and charm of nature. That moment set me free from the busy city life.

Yunnan is famous for its breathtaking and unadulterated natural landscapes. Still in winter view at that time, everything seemed desolate but ready to rebirth. The trip was a journey of refreshing my soul. Got me much peace.
